Renovations...
The house is starting to look completely differentt! It's so exciting building your own home, choosing your own colours and furnishings. We spent much of the holidays painting and working on the house. We ripped up the lino in the kitchen to find beautiful Remu flooring - which when polished will be awesome! I'm personally looking forward to our deck (having never lived in a house with decking) - which basically extends the living area of our house to the outside! Amy's Dad is doing an excellent job and we're so grateful to him for helping us out with the house and all his advice and support. It's great to be accepted into Amy's family and I'm really looking forward to both families colliding/meeting in the run up to the wedding. Jen (Amy's younger sister) has just visited my parents back home, as she's doing a trip to the UK and Europe. It's great when two families come together - so cute! Talking about the wedding, preparations are chugging along. Still lots to plan and organise - but because the house has taken such a focus, it's not been priority number one. I'm sure things will change as we get closer to the time though. Fun times to come...
