Busy April...
We took our largest group ever to Easter Camp ’06 – and had an awesome time. These camps do take a lot of preparation, and can be even more stressful when the day the camp starts, is also
the day your father-in-law (to be) is getting re-married! My flatmate, Jason, conducted the ceremony and we had a lovely day – then joined the rest of the campers the next day. We have some of the coolest young people in NZ, and it’s a privilege to be part of their spiritual growth. The day after we returned from camp, Youth Alive were running two week long Holiday Programmes, for different age groups. We do really cool activities and day trips with the kids – I’m even more blessed as I’m normally one of the drivers! The following weekend we took our young people to a big evangelistic crusade hosted by the churches of Christchurch, and headlined by Greg Laurie, an American Evangelist. Then the following weekend, we hosted a city-wide Band Competition and also Expressions – regional heats for a national talent quest. It was a busy month - but lots of fun! I love the diversity of my job!
